International Hip Outcome Tool 33

Hip Prostheses

S. Corona Hospital

There are not many hospitals in Italy and Europe that can boast such impressive history and experience as Santa Corona. Its origins go back to 1497, when Stefano de Seregno founds in Milan a charity organisation called Santa Corona, with the purpose of providing health care aid to the poor and rehabilitation for chronic diseases that were quite spread during those times.

Unipolar Spinal Unit

The Unipolar Spinal Unit of Pietra Ligure started in 1999.

It is the fourth Spinal Unit to be set up in Italy, after those in Florence, Roma and Perugia. What motivated a numerous group of operators to establish it was the conviction that only a Unipolar (single-center????) organisation can provide an adequate response to the need for intensive rehabilitation after the acute phase in spinal cord injury patients.
